Thanks to Edward Hodson for this recap.
UMBC SAW OFF AMERICAN AND FROSTBURG UNIVERSITY IN A CLOSELY FOUGHT TRI TOURNAMENT TO WIN THEIR SECOND CUP OF THE SPRING SEASON
After UMBC edged out American earlier on in the day, three first half tries against Frostburg were enough to claim the coveted prize in chilly conditions at Walker [...]

Library Fees are Changing

This was sent in via e-mail and I agree that it is important to let the students know:
This was posted on the library’s website, but not that many people check it, so I wanted to find a wider audience for this news. These changes were made in the library’s circulation system without proper student notification, [...]

A Request for Help

This was written in an email to me and I was glad to post it:
To the UMBC community,
I’m writing to you to ask for your support in a very special cause.

Pilfered from Americaleast Blog. Turns out that Co-Ed Magazine did an online poll and looks like we’re winning.
Go vote for UMBC.

imProveIt! wiNnEr!

Congratulations to the Green Space group for winning the imProveIt! initiative!
Attached is an address from SGA VP Elani Odeyale.

Today, Green Space was announced as the 2008 Prove It! Winning Proposal. A well-developed proposal, the space will be both practical and aesthetically pleasing, using a well-trafficked but underutilized space. This project is realistically achievable within the upcoming months, and the campus [...]
