Wanna ruck?

ATTN ALL GIRLS AT UMBC:

The Women’s Rugby team is looking for more players…we’ve had tons of people in and out of our club over the past few semesters, and our numbers are lower than ever. If you have previous experience with rugby…with our team or any other…or even if you have no knowledge of the game whatsoever, come out to practice if you’re interested. Rugby is probably the most physically challenging sport for women, and there are positions for every shape & size. Practices are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6-8pm (and currently Sundays from 12-2). Only 2 practices a week are required, but coming to all is encouraged.

If you have ANY suspicions that rugby might vaguely interest you, COME OUT AND PLAY.

Email sandra13@umbc.edu if interested.

I clicked on this article under a false impression that I would see something involving a “Retrograde Wheelbarrow Fan Club.”

Regardless, students interested in opening said club should contact me at my office ASAP.

Can anyone tell me when the men’s team practices here? I play for Baltimore-Chesapeake and wouldn’t mind getting an extra run in on off days.

Seriously guys I mean girls Rugby will ROCK your WORLD. Ok maybe you are one of those I dont care about my school dont want to participate in anything type person. There are selfish reasons to join, when you play rugby its like doing the tread mill for hours. You could want to loose a couple pounds but like diet and boring exercise well weight lost will sneak up on you while playing 80 min of none stop action. Oh and that boy who think he can take you if because you look so dainty wont know what him (literally). Just try it!!

i thought i would die when my friend convinced me to play. now, if it weren’t for rugby, i would have transferred to a different school. its the most fun ive ever had. even if you are a bit hesitant you should look into coming to a practice, the girls on the team are very friendly and will become some of the best friends you wouldn’t know otherwise :)

Typically speaking we practice on Walker field, but because of daylight issues (there are no lights on walker), we’ve been practicing on the quad for the last couple of weeks. If the weather is poor then we move to the RAC, providing there’s not a Varsity event going on. Eventually we’re moving to Practice field 1, but not quite yet.
