On UU
On Comments
At the bottom of every post, there’s a link to comment.
Comment. You know you want to.
In fact, for now we’ve made it so that anyone can comment anonymously.
Keep it mature, back up what you say, and don’t be inappropriately offensive.
On Submission
Seeing as how this site is for students, by students, those behind UU want to offer everyone the opportunity to submit their own news/opinions. Frankly, it would be irresponsible of us to limit the knowledge presented on this site to the handful of students behind the UU scenes. We understand there are thousands of eyes and ears out there, and know there’s so much to be gained from a little collaboration and cooperation.
If you know of something cool coming up, have some advice for others, have the inside scoop on something that happened on campus, or whatever/etc, contact us (using your umbc email, so we know you are a UMBC student and not a random creep prowling the internet) at: undergroundumbc AT gmail DOT com
We’ll (anonymously) post your words, as soon as possible.
Extremely lax Guidelines:
- If you aren’t sure about something as you’re writing, please try to find more information.
- If you aren’t able to find the answer to your question, please don’t guess or make claims. Just say you don’t know — hopefully someone will be able to provide more info in a comment later.

Feel free to email us your own restaurant or professor review submissions. We only ask that for the professor review, in order to remain consistent, you follow this professor review template.
On Becoming a Fan
If you like the site, follow this link and become a “fan” or UMBC Underground. The Facebook page (technically a page for businesses) allows you to see other people who like UMBC Underground, to leave a review of the site, and discuss on the discussion board.
We may also be using this space to give heads up for UU events.
And PS: David Dock is the alias we’ve made up to allow for some anonymous UU presence on Facebook. Treeveins is behind this puppet.

Hey guys,
We recently implemented a widget from Add This that allows sharing links on Facebook. You might want to look into it as well:
http://addthis.com
I have a request for people commenting. Can everyone please try to come up with some kind of nickname for themselves when leaving a comment instead of being “Anonymous.” It just gets really confusing when there are 15+ comments and several people writing as “Anonymous.”
Or maybe just adding a number at the end, like “Anonymous924.” Any number… just so it’s easier to @ as discussions get longer.
Comment
Niiice! Now just have others do that for articles! Nicknames are fun, anyway. I don’t know why people stick with boring-old “anonymous.”
